Level A1 is oriented to people who want to start learning English or people who know just a few words but can’t maintain a conversation or write a sentence.

At this level you will learn English language basics and its structure. This level is fundamental to progress to higher levels.

During the A1 course you will learn simple sentences, basic grammar, basic vocabulary, you will be able to understand small and basic texts and converstions that will also allow you to write a short email, to introduce yourself, ask and answer simple questions, make small descriptions of people and places, interact in a small talk where people can help to rephrase things at a slower rate, can recognize and say familiar words or everyday expressions.

Our teachers know how to motivate students at this level and although it looks like a simple task, it isn’t because students want to speak and write in a short time. Keep students interested and commited with the course is the focus of our classes.

BUSINESS English A1

SCOPE

Learn basic Business English in an efficient way in all language components.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

  • To understand basic words and expressions about personal details and family;
  • To understand well-known names, words and simple sentences;
  • To communicate in a basic way about a concrete need;
  • To use simple sentences and expressions to describe residence location and people;
  • To write small texts, fill a form with personal information;

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

  • To understand the essential of a simple text, brief and clear about daily life;
  • To be able to find predictable information in simple texts of common use;
  • To communicate in daily situations, asking and answering simple questions in areas of immediate need or on very familiar topics;
  • To use simple phrases and sentences to talk about family, other people and personal life;
  • To write a short and simple text related with daily life;

The evaluation is continuous, all along the course the teacher evaluates students regarding the following parameters:

  • Knowledge of the subjects
  • Vocabulary use
  • Phonetics/pronunciation
  • Progression
  • Participation/motivation
  • Homework
  • Reading comprehension
  • Listening comprehension
  • Writing
  • Grammar
  • Evaluation test

Every 20 hours, students have a written and oral test and they are evaluated regarding their knowledge and progression. At the same time, students evaluate the teacher performance.

In the end each student will receive an individual evaluation report and a certificate.
