Over the years, experience has taught us that there are people with different kinds of attitudes towards English Courses. Some people like the language but believe that they can’t learn it, the ones that don’t like English but need it for several reasons, those that start studying it with good will but then give up, and the ones that need to refresh their language skills, etc.

There’s one thing that is common to all of them: the need to learn English. The most part of the countries, English is part of school programs and nowadays it begins at an earlier age, aside from increasing the number of English language speakers, it also increases the language knowledge level.
Language knowledge can only be maintained through practice, travelling, reading, listening to music, cinema, etc., you can keep in touch with the language but you will start loosing vocabulary and grammar skills, consequently, it will decrease your writing and reading skills.

People who need English for their work, have the advantadge to practice regularly through writing or through conversation. Even these people sometimes have the need to refresh their English knowledge.
Meaning that even if you practise frequently, a regular refresh or review is needed in order not to loose what you already know but also to develop skills.

Many of the English Courses that we’ve already managed, especially in companies, are dedicated to employees that already know English, but in many cases, they’ve already learned it a long time ago, or even more recently, but they don’t practice it. There are also some cases where employees already have a significant high level but they want to improve for professional reasons (to do a presentation, to attend conferences, because they have a new director that only speaks English, etc.), or just because they like it.

Fortunately, for the most part, many companies dedicate its annual budget in language training, investing in skills development for their staff. In a short time this has a positive impact in the company´s structure.

We also have people without any linguistic knowledge of English. Visibly so, we are talking about an older population that didn’t have the opportunity to study a second language. In these cases, it takes a little bit more time to learn but it is very rewarding for the student and for the teacher. It’s pleasantly satisfying to see a student who started a course without knowing a single word and completes the level A1, able to maintain a small and basic conversation. This accomplishment relies on the time they dedicate to classes and studying. AGILE TRAINING is aware and has been told by some of our students when beginning the course, that they thought they would be able to speak English after a short time. It is important to underline that learning English may seem easy, however, it´s only easy with time, effort and dedication. Level after level, students will feel more and more confident, this will reveal in all their language skills; writing, speaking and understanding. It’s an investment for the future but it is worth all the time and money spent.

For the most part, these students need English for leisure travels, to visit family or friends who live in other countries, or for work too.

Whatever the need or the situation is regarding English knowledge, the more important is to understand that we live in a more and more global world, and if it is not immediately, there will be an occasion where English will be needed in your life. Nothing better than to be prepared!
